Mini Skips 2-3 Cubic Yards
Some of the smallest containers available, these mini skips will hold approximately 20-25 black bin bags of waste. Often delivered on the smallest delivery vehicles, these skips are suitable for small home projects and can be sited on a driveway or highway with suitable permissions from the council.
But don’t worry, we can help you with council permits.
Midi Skips 4-5 cubic Yards
Midi skips are typically used for heavy materials such as soil or brickwork and have the capacity to hold the equivalent 40-50 black bin liners full of waste. Used at both domestic and commercial locations these skips are a very popular range.
Builders skips 6-7 cubic Yards
The builders skip is the most popular skip we do. It’s about the same size as a small family car with the roof taken off and can hold up to 60 black bin liners packed full of waste. High at the sides and low at each end for easy loading, the builders skip is a favourite of builders and home owners alike.
Maxi Skips 8-10 cubic Yards
Often known as a large builder’s skip, this container is suitable for larger projects such as garden landscaping or property clearance. It can hold both large bulky material and dense heavy material making it extremely versatile. You should budget for this skip to contain between 80 and 90 black bin liners.
Bulk Skips 12-16 cubic Yards
As the name suggests these large skips are ideal for big bulky waste. Not suitable for soil or rubble but fill it with timber, cardboard, or rip-out material and you’ll get best value for money. Widely used on commercial or industrial fit out projects or on sites where large volumes of lightweight waste are produced. Between 100 and 150 black bin liners can be stored in these skips.
Jumbo Skips 18-20 cubic Yards
The largest of the chain lift skip family, Jumbo skips should be used when the volumes of waste being produced are coming thick and fast. Make sure that you get best value for money by stacking your waste neatly to ensure minimum cost per cubic yard of waste removed. You can expect to dispose of waste equivalent in volume to up to 200 full black bins liners.
Enclosed Lidded Skips
We all have a duty of care to ensure that waste does not escape from our control. Using enclosed or lidded skips is a great way of looking after your legal compliance and at the same time protecting the environment from lightweight waste being blown out of the skip by the wind.
In addition to protecting fly away waste from the elements, being able to lock your skip will give you greater control and added security against others adding to or taking away your waste. Lockable skips are available in many locations on request.
Drop Door Skips
We understand that loading a skip with heavy waste can sometimes be troublesome. This is why a range of our smaller skips can be delivered with a drop door at one end that will enable you to wheel a barrow full of waste in to the skip. If this feature is important to you, just ask.
Weight Tested Skips
There are times when a skip will need to be lifted in to the air by a crane in order to be positioned correctly on site. In order to achieve absolute safety when undertaking this exercise, it is important to talk to us about the options available on skips that have been tested and certified as safe to lift. We’re here to help – Let’s get it right first time.
Wait and Load Skips
When you’re up against the clock or don’t want a skip to out stay its welcome, taking a Wait And Load option may suit you better. Our driver arrives with the skip on the back of the lorry, sets it down and waits for up to 30 minutes while the skip is loaded. Give him a coffee and he may even help you to load the skip too.
