From 2015 the following containers are now classified as hazardous and cannot be legally mixed with general waste:
All packaging that is contaminated with any quantity of any substance that exhibits any hazardous property will now be classified as hazardous, irrespective of the concentration of that contaminant. All waste packaging arising from all processes on every site will need to be reassessed and, if hazardous components are present at any level, the packaging will be considered a hazardous waste.
