As a fund-raiser for our chosen Charity of the Year, The Moving on Project, staff at Nationwide Hire enjoyed taking part in their very own World Cup Semi Final themed day.
Set up in 1995, The Moving On Project provides support and free, confidential counselling for young people aged 11 to 25 years in the local Fareham and Gosport areas faced with issues that affect their education and progression into adult life.
Although the England team sadly didn’t make it through to the World Cup final, their energy and commitment had us all inspired on the day! With face painting, a raffle, a buffet and activities and challenges organised at very short notice, we had great fun competing in a 32 Nation Quiz and an ‘It’s Coming Home’ Competition.
We loved putting our hands in our pockets for the charity that’s close to our hearts, raising £60 to help fund support for vulnerable young people. Company bosses matched that, making a grand total of £120. And with a last-minute donation at the end of the day, all in all, we raised £127.
More exciting still is that we’ve now almost reached our ambitious 12-month target to bring home £10,000 by August!
We’re putting customers first by taking responsibility for solving and avoiding plant, equipment and services problems. With a supplier network of over 9000 UK locations accessing millions of products, we’re on hand to keep projects moving. Whatever the challenge, we get it sorted.
